Melissa O'Donnell
Overview
Melissa O'Donnell is an Irish artist working in the realm of contemporary painting, drawing and print. Her works offer alternative views on nature whilst paying tribute to past masters and historical depictions of this subject.
In 2022 O'Donnell presented 'Turning It Over', a solo exhibition at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin where her work has previously been exhibited in their Annual Exhibitions. In 2020 she was shortlisted for the prestigious John Moore's Painting Prize (National Museums Liverpool, UK) and her work was exhibited online at the Contemporary Irish Arts Centre, Los Angeles.
O'Donnell's work is held in both private and public collections including the OPW State Art Collection and the RCSI, Dublin.
