In this, the artist’s third and much anticipated solo show with Solomon, van der Grijn presents a series of new paintings which signify a process orientated philosophy. The works in SHIFT engage the viewer with the concept of deconstruction, demonstrating uncoordinated compositions and deliberately revealing traces of use, whereby the nature of their materiality is brought to the foreground.
