What inspires and drives the creative mind? John Kelly returns to RTÉ One with five new episodes of The Works Presents, which explore this very question.
In the latest edition, John talks to celebrated sculptor Eilis O'Connell.
Eilis O'Connell, studied at the Crawford School of Art in Cork and the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. She, then, developed her practice further with fellowships at The British School in Rome, P.S.I. in New York and a residency at Delfina Studios in London.
Working in various materials, and in scale both very large and small, Eilis’ work has been shown at the Venice, Paris and Sao Paolo Biennales, and many of her outdoor works are now in public locations abroad - as well as here at home - notably in Dublin, Belfast and Cork.
